Alders on Lake Padden

This painting is large, about 2 x2. It has a sense of depth, because of the the way the light shines on the water, reflecting the tree above, and how you see through the water. Acrylic on canvas.

I've been making art since childhood. Then it was just for fun and to keep my mind off of other things. Now, I guess it's the same. Art makes me a better person. It takes me into my core and keeps me there for long periods of time. When I'm finished working for the day, I feel more complete, more grounded, more available for the rest of my life.
