Bird Of Paradise

This photo came out a little brighter than the actual painting is. But it is close and the orange plume of the flower is gorgeous, painting or no.

I've been making art since childhood. Then it was just for fun and to keep my mind off of other things. Now, I guess it's the same. Art makes me a better person. It takes me into my core and keeps me there for long periods of time. When I'm finished working for the day, I feel more complete, more grounded, more available for the rest of my life.
