Opening

This little painting became a bookcover. I love the abstract painters and wish to take my own abstractions further. This one is loose, and the photo doesn't show it's brightness. I like the line quality I achieved with a liner brush.

I've been making art since childhood. Then it was just for fun and to keep my mind off of other things. Now, I guess it's the same. Art makes me a better person. It takes me into my core and keeps me there for long periods of time. When I'm finished working for the day, I feel more complete, more grounded, more available for the rest of my life.
