Acid-Free Paper: Trees in the Summer

Watery trees in sunset. A painting on paper, acrylic watered down and used straight from the tube. The acid-free paper used in this painting is fairly transparent. It warps the surface to wet it down, but flattens out nicely when dry. I originally used this paper to paint with the touch painting method. Water-based oil paints are an effective medium when rolled onto Masonite and covered with tracing paper and then drawn on with fingers.

Art As Worship, Saturated Color

I paint daily, if I can. Getting something down on paper, anything, is what is important. Like writing practice, it is the not thinking that brings the best results. Combining art and writing is a good fit. Each creative expression serves the other. There are many ways to be an artist. Here are a few new paintings.
